XP Power Benefits Overview

Leads mechanical design and development of power converters from concept through production. Responsibilities include thermal and stress analysis, DFMEA, GD&T, design verification, root-cause analysis, technical strategy, cross-functional collaboration, manufacturing integration, and development of new technologies. The role also guides engineering teams, supports project schedules and resource allocation, and ensures designs meet performance, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and production-yield targets.

Sustains mechanical designs for existing switch mode power supply products. Evaluates alternative parts and materials, manages obsolescence and supplier changes, modifies CAD models and drawings, conducts thermal assessments and mechanical testing, investigates failures, performs root-cause analysis, and supports engineering change implementation. Collaborates with sourcing, quality, manufacturing, electrical engineering, and suppliers on qualification, validation, reliability, and corrective actions.

Supports a strategic semiconductor-industry account by managing customer inquiries, RFQs, orders, returns, quotes, forecasts, and service requests. Partners with field sales and cross-functional teams to support consignment and inventory programs, monitor replenishment needs, maintain customer data, and resolve issues. The role requires strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
