Provides professional registered nursing care to inpatient operating-room patients using the nursing process, clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, and individualized care plans. Responsibilities include assessment, care coordination, delegation, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, ethical practice, quality improvement, policy evaluation, and professional development. The role requires working effectively under stress, adapting to changing workloads, and meeting hospital safety and specialty accreditation requirements.

Supports government relations initiatives by planning, coordinating, and overseeing organizational projects. Responsibilities include developing schedules and work plans, managing scope, risks, resources, costs, vendors, invoices, communications, documentation, and change control. The role collaborates with leadership, Legal, Marketing, hospitals, and other departments; ensures regulatory compliance; facilitates stakeholder decisions; supports process improvement and training; and leads project teams on mid-to-low-risk initiatives.

Documents physicians’ and licensed practitioners’ dictation, examinations, procedures, consultations, and patient history in the medical record. Gathers laboratory, radiology, and other patient data for provider review, tracks workup progress, supports patient flow, and performs directed administrative communication while maintaining privacy and avoiding independent medical advice or order relay.
