Provides administrative and graduate student support for the Mechanical and Materials Engineering department, including student tracking, TA and RA assignments, payroll, exams, thesis milestones, events, purchasing, scheduling, correspondence, expense processing, and department communications. Coordinates with faculty, students, staff, and campus offices; manages calendars, access requests, work orders, and records; supports accreditation materials and provides backup administrative coverage.

Direct the university concert band and small ensembles; teach music courses in theory, appreciation, performance, and related areas; advise student clubs and projects; organize rehearsals, concerts, and domestic and international tours; maintain band equipment; contribute to curriculum development, departmental initiatives, and alumni and advancement activities.

Teach eight studio arts courses annually, advise student projects, develop curriculum, and contribute to Humanities and Arts initiatives. The professor will teach varied studio media, support introductory and advanced courses, cultivate relationships with local arts organizations, and help supervise art studio facilities and programming. Candidates must demonstrate university-level teaching and advising experience, exhibition or project development experience, and professional artistic practice. The role emphasizes accessibility, sustainability, health, safety, and engagement with contemporary technological methods.
