Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Applied AI for Mechatronics and Controls. Teach undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses, build an externally funded research program, and apply AI/deep learning to mechatronics, control, intelligent sensing, perception, and cyber-physical systems. Collaborate with the Robotics Engineering Department and pursue multidisciplinary applications such as autonomous systems, smart health, and advanced manufacturing.

Assist faculty, graduate students, and research staff with laboratory activities, data collection, and research projects while learning STEM skills, research methodologies, and professional workplace expectations in a biomedical engineering lab environment.

Perform molecular biology and cell culture experiments (PCR, plasmid construction, CRISPR-Cas9, transfections), immunofluorescence and high-resolution microscopy, maintain lab reagents and buffers, manage reagent databases, and train undergraduate students. Contribute to daily lab operations and documentation.
