Summer interns support forensic engineering and architecture projects through site investigations, condition assessments, construction observations, field testing, data collection, document and code research, engineering analysis, and preparation of drawings, specifications, and reports. Interns work under licensed professionals at office, laboratory, construction, and field locations, gaining hands-on experience with existing structures and repair design.

Summer 2027 mechanical engineering interns will inspect machinery on heavy movable structures, prepare technical reports and calculations, conduct bridge balance testing, collect strain-gauge data, and support CAD-based design engineering. The role combines office and field work involving bridges, locks, dams, rail transit systems, ferry terminals, and cranes. Interns must be able to work safely at heights and in hazardous outdoor environments, lift up to 50 pounds, operate equipment, drive, and travel.

Summer internship for electrical engineering students supporting inspections, testing, reporting, and design documentation for heavy movable structures. Responsibilities include evaluating electrical power and control systems, preparing drawings, specifications, test procedures, calculations, and inspection reports, as well as data logging and field preparation. The role is on-site in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and involves outdoor work, construction sites, heights, hazardous locations, lifting equipment, and travel.
