Leads strategic sourcing, category management, supplier development, negotiations, contract lifecycle management, inventory optimization, and procurement initiatives. Uses spend analysis to identify savings opportunities, develops sourcing strategies, monitors supplier performance, and ensures quality, cost, delivery, and inventory targets. Partners with business stakeholders and suppliers, supports capital project procurement, and manages global sourcing activities, including China and international suppliers. Some travel is required.

Leads transfer station operating units with full profit-and-loss responsibility. Oversees operations, maintenance, sales, finance, safety, compliance, staffing, customer and vendor relationships, environmental standards, and strategic execution across multiple sites. Drives profitability, operational efficiency, change initiatives, talent development, and market strategy while maintaining regulatory and safety compliance. Travel by air, car, or other transportation may reach 30% of the time.

Generates revenue by selling waste management services to moderately large and complex accounts using a consultative approach. Responsibilities include prospect management, marketing planning, account growth, sales activity, waste evaluations, pricing and competitive analysis, proposal development, equipment optimization recommendations, and customer issue resolution. The role also develops regional opportunities, uses Salesforce and other sales tools, and maintains knowledge of industry regulations and company services.
