Lead and manage the drafting function across projects: enforce drawing standards, manage budgets/timelines/resources, mentor drafting teams, collaborate with Engineering and Production, monitor metrics, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality, schedule, and cost KPIs.

Maintain communication between shipping, loading, manufacturing, sales, and customers to ensure timely load pickups and resolve delays or material issues. Coordinate transportation and provide status updates to sales and customers.

Check and prepare erection drawings and bills of materials for self-storage metal buildings using AutoCAD. Coordinate with project managers, engineering, drafting, purchasing and manufacturing to ensure accuracy, implement change orders, resolve shop calls, assist with material pre-releases and customer field issues, and enforce company standards.

Develop accurate, code-compliant metal building estimates and preliminary designs, provide technical guidance, collaborate with Sales/Engineering/Estimating, value-engineer solutions, train colleagues, and support continuous improvement of estimating and design processes.

Lead complex drafting projects for metal building/structural steel, resolve advanced detailing challenges, implement BIM and automation tools, drive department-wide quality and efficiency improvements, provide technical leadership and cross-functional representation, and ensure drafting deliverables meet standards.

Support daily production by handling materials, inspecting products, maintaining clean and safe work areas, following safety procedures, assisting supervisors and team members, learning new tasks, and aiding continuous improvement efforts.

Manage assigned territory by nurturing customer relationships, supporting inside sales and order processing, meeting sales targets, maintaining CRM records, assisting onboarding of new customers, and ensuring order accuracy and product knowledge.
