The role emphasizes learning company standards and local codes, becoming proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D, and pursuing an Engineer-in-Training certificate and Professional Engineering license.

Supports licensed civil engineers on public infrastructure design projects by preparing calculations, reports, feasibility studies, drawings, specifications, exhibits, and utility evaluations. Uses civil engineering and drafting software, follows QA/QC standards, coordinates with agencies and internal teams, and observes construction activities. The role provides day-to-day project and technical support while developing engineering skills and pursuing an Engineer-in-Training certificate and Professional Engineering license.
