Researches and analyzes federal, state, and public policy developments affecting agriculture, conservation, working lands, wildlife, water, and natural resources. Prepares policy analyses, recommendations, issue briefs, comment letters, talking points, testimony, web content, and other communications. Translates complex policy and technical information into clear messages for policymakers, landowners, partners, funders, media, and the public. Collaborates across policy, program, and communications teams while supporting fact-checking, messaging, media outreach, and policy engagement.

Manages institutional fundraising through grant prospecting, proposal and report writing, funder relationship cultivation, stewardship, and grant compliance. Develops organizational grant strategy, coordinates budgets and implementation plans with finance and program teams, tracks deadlines and donor information in the CRM, and provides grant outcomes and stories for communications. The role supports foundations, corporations, and government funders and requires remote work from the American West.
