Participates in Western Alliance Bank’s innovation leadership program, applying military and MBA experience to business initiatives, innovation projects, business development, and client relationship building. The role includes leadership development, mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, presentations to diverse stakeholders, and interaction with senior executives. Participants may work across project management, IT, cybersecurity, risk management, or operations while developing business and innovation skills.

Supports quarterly commercial credit file reviews and loan review engagements. Evaluates borrower financial information, underwriting quality, risk grades, credit mitigation, portfolio trends, policies, and controls. Performs risk-based sampling, prepares review reports, monitors credit risk segments, and guides less experienced reviewers. The role requires commercial credit expertise, financial analysis, knowledge of banking regulations, and collaboration with lenders, management, and internal stakeholders.

Supports the bank’s enterprise risk management programs, with primary responsibility for issue management. Conducts periodic assessments, evaluates adherence to standards, documents findings, supports corrective actions, processes issue updates, and contributes to reporting, training, and continuous improvement. The role requires foundational knowledge of risk management, internal controls, audit, SOX, banking operations, regulatory expectations, and the three lines of defense.
