Tenure-track Assistant Professor expected to establish an independent, funded research program in quantum physics or AI-applied physics, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, teach one in-person course per semester, run a small seminar, advise students, and participate in departmental and university governance. Commitment to inclusive teaching and modern pedagogy required.

Lead launch and first-year implementation of DEMOCRACY250: manage partnerships, recruit and train student Democracy Stewards, oversee placements, supervise a Program Fellow, track outcomes, report to leadership, and ensure nonpartisan program delivery and budget stewardship.

Lead compensation and classification analysis to implement and sustain staff job architecture and compensation frameworks. Conduct benchmarking, manage MarketPay, classify positions (including FLSA and unionized roles), analyze organizational design, support collective bargaining, produce reports, maintain documentation and standards, and consult with HR leaders and departments. Hybrid role with significant on-campus presence.
