Teams at Wells Concrete

Oversee daily plant production operations, schedules, workflow, labor assignments, inventory, and material procurement. Coordinate with engineering, drafting, quality, and other departments to maintain safety, quality, productivity, and cost control. Train and develop employees, enforce policies, address delays and defects, and support continuous improvement. The role requires extended standing and movement, physical labor, work at heights, PPE use, and exposure to varying environmental and production hazards.

Trains production employees on precast concrete manufacturing processes, equipment, quality standards, safety procedures, and work methods. Provides hands-on instruction, coaches performance, assesses readiness, maintains training records, and partners with production leaders to address skill gaps. Reinforces PPE, safe lifting, material handling, quality inspection, defect identification, and consistent work practices while promoting continuous improvement and accountability in a physically demanding plant environment.

Manages environmental, health, safety, and DOT compliance across manufacturing plants and field sites. Responsibilities include safety audits, job safety analyses, incident investigations, corrective actions, OSHA recordkeeping, workers’ compensation support, DOT driver and vehicle programs, drug and alcohol testing, facility audits, regulatory inspections, reporting, training support, and continuous improvement of safety systems and environmental practices.
