Software engineering intern supporting Wellmark’s Marketing and Digital team. Responsibilities include developing customer-facing web experiences, building accessible user interface components, supporting content management systems, gathering requirements, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders, and participating in Agile delivery processes.

Acquires large-group and national-account health insurance customers through prospecting, lead qualification, needs analysis, customized solution design, proposal development, presentations, negotiation, and closing. Advises prospects on complex benefit plans, self-funded arrangements, ancillary products, underwriting, and regulatory considerations. Builds consultant and stakeholder relationships, gathers competitive intelligence, documents account activity, and transitions sold accounts to implementation teams.

Leads the design, development, integration, and ongoing improvement of Wellmark’s internal developer platform and developer experience capabilities. Owns developer portals, software catalogs, self-service workflows, automation, platform integrations, health checks, and engineering enablement. Partners across application engineering, cloud, security, architecture, and operations teams to improve developer productivity, platform adoption, reliability, and adherence to engineering standards. Provides technical leadership, mentoring, roadmap input, troubleshooting, and stakeholder consulting.
