Build and operate Wellmark’s governed enterprise AI platform, including model routing, prompt management, agent orchestration, retrieval, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and cost controls. Develop reusable SDKs, APIs, templates, infrastructure, and CI/CD practices while improving reliability, security, auditability, and compliance. Partner with product, architecture, security, legal, governance, cloud, and engineering teams to scale responsible AI adoption. Guide, mentor, and troubleshoot with engineers, evaluate emerging technologies, and support solution design, root-cause analysis, optimization, and production operations.

Architects and evolves complex enterprise systems across cloud, on-premises, infrastructure, network, data, security, and application domains. Defines solution intent, architectural decisions, guardrails, lifecycle strategies, risk treatments, and technical standards. Leads AI and agent architecture with appropriate governance, monitoring, security, privacy, and human oversight. Partners with business, product, engineering, platform, operations, compliance, and security teams while documenting architecture, trade-offs, and conformance evidence.

Leads complex provider network contract negotiations and payer network strategies across commercial and government programs. Oversees contracting priorities, financial and human resources, team development, network expansion, performance optimization, value-based payment models, and risk mitigation. Uses claims, quality, clinical outcomes, utilization, and financial data to guide decisions. Partners with legal, operations, provider relations, payment strategy, and external healthcare organizations while representing Wellmark in strategic negotiations and serving as a subject matter expert.
