Teams at Web Summit

Build and manage relationships with venture capital firms, angel investors, family offices, and other investors for Web Summit events. Engage senior stakeholders, manage investor relationships throughout the attendee journey, maintain Salesforce pipeline data, identify leads with Business Intelligence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase investor engagement. The role requires fluent Mandarin and English, strong communication and organisation, commercial awareness, and interest in startups, venture capital, and technology.

Research and identify high-profile technology speakers, develop persuasive pitches, manage long-running outreach, and coordinate speaker logistics. The role also contributes to session concepts, prepares VIP briefings, maintains speaker data, and supports scheduling. Native Mandarin and fluent English are required, along with strong knowledge of China’s technology ecosystem and proficiency with Chinese research and outreach platforms. Travel within China and to standard events is required.

Supports Web Summit’s media and communications efforts across Chinese-speaking markets. Builds relationships with Mandarin-language journalists, influencers, creators, and media organizations; identifies compelling stories; coordinates media attendance and opportunities; manages Chinese social and editorial content; develops event coverage strategies; recruits moderators and speakers; tracks media activity using Salesforce, AI, and data tools; and evaluates campaign impact.
