Supports Weaver’s Energy Compliance Services Assurance Practice through environmental and transportation fuel regulatory compliance audits, EPA attestation services, Renewable Fuel Standard verification, research, issue resolution, and consulting engagements. The intern will assess internal controls, document audit work, research technical regulations, and communicate routine findings to management while developing expertise in environmental compliance.

Summer 2027 GRC interns support business process or IT risk and compliance engagements. Responsibilities include learning internal audit, internal controls, financial reporting, information systems, IT general controls, security administration, change management, systems development, and compliance frameworks. Interns may work with client teams and travel as required. Business-process candidates study accounting concepts, while IT candidates apply systems, security, and compliance knowledge.

Manages all phases of public sector audits, supervises and mentors audit staff, ensures high-quality client service, and collaborates with firm leadership. The role also supports business development, relationship management, practice development, and firm administration. Candidates need public accounting experience, CPA certification, strong decision-making skills, technical audit knowledge, and experience serving government or related public sector entities.
