Teams at Wealthsimple

Leads the development and operation of business-critical enterprise systems and integrations. Manages and coaches developers while remaining hands-on with production code, architecture, technical standards, and delivery. Partners with Finance, Legal, HR, Customer Operations, Security, IT, and Data leaders to translate business needs into durable technical solutions. Oversees cross-functional initiatives, release discipline, infrastructure automation, system risk, roadmap prioritization, and team performance.

Own daily options clearing operations, including reconciliations, settlements, expirations, exercises, assignments, and transfers. Investigate and resolve trade and position discrepancies, using SQL and spreadsheet analysis to identify breaks and improve workflows. Partner with trading, engineering, product, and operations teams to reduce risk and scale back-office processes. Support rotating early and late hours around market events and settlement cycles.

Build Wealthsimple’s shared AI platform for engineering teams, including LLM-powered developer tooling, automated code review, deployment checks, governance controls, and policy guardrails. Drive adoption across Ruby, Python, TypeScript, and Java/Kotlin teams; measure platform impact; establish AI engineering standards; collaborate cross-functionally; and mentor developers.
