Design and deliver major highway schemes as a member of the Traffic and Highways team. Produce highway designs using AutoCAD/MX/Civil 3D, apply DMRB standards, review operational safety within designs, communicate with clients, and support professional development and chartership progression.

Assess and comment on highway designs for proposed developments, secure legal agreements (s.278, s.38, s.106), liaise with developers and contractors, inspect construction works, ensure adoptable standards and highway safety, and provide specialist technical advice and expert evidence to councillors, management and the public. Support toward Incorporated/Chartered Engineer status available.

Deliver UK highway and traffic engineering projects from feasibility to design, using DMRB and AutoCAD. Prepare/assist Traffic Regulation Orders, apply TSRGD/TMA/NRSWA knowledge, liaise with stakeholders, and consider buildability, cost, H&S and CDM requirements.
