Leads photographic coverage for breaking news, features, investigations, and visual enterprise projects. Assigns and directs photographers, develops visual story ideas, edits and presents images across digital platforms, sources and licenses photography, collaborates across newsroom teams, and mentors photo editors and photographers. Requires strong visual and editorial judgment, newsroom experience, knowledge of photographic ethics and copyright, digital storytelling expertise, and proficiency with Photoshop and Photo Mechanic.

Design digital editorial experiences, visual packages, illustrations, and interactive storytelling for The Washington Post. Collaborate with reporters, editors, developers, photographers, and other visual journalists from concept through publication. Create reader-centered designs across desktop, mobile, newsletters, and social platforms; support breaking news under tight deadlines; and apply typography, composition, color, animation, art direction, accessibility, and visual consistency to strengthen journalism.

Perform general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end close, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, GAAP application, audit support, compliance documentation, and process automation. The role also involves improving accounting processes, preparing reports, supporting tax filings, collaborating with auditors and stakeholders, and contributing to special projects. Advanced Excel, data analytics, financial reporting, and accounting systems expertise are required.
