Supports tax advisors with preparing proactive tax plans for business owners, reviewing individual and business tax returns, identifying planning opportunities, conducting tax research, documenting client action items, coordinating implementation with accounting teams, and maintaining organized client workflows. The role is remote and offers training in the firm’s tax planning methodology.

Assists the tax team with organizing client documents, entering financial data, preparing workpapers, supporting basic tax returns, communicating with clients, and managing electronic filing, tax documentation, and onboarding processes. The role includes training and development toward advancement into a Tax Preparer position.

Lead tax planning engagements and high-value client relationships, oversee business and individual tax returns, ensure accurate strategy implementation, improve ClickUp workflows, mentor team members, and develop advanced tax strategies. The role combines technical tax expertise, client advisory, process improvement, and department leadership in a fully remote environment.

Independently prepare, review, and manage individual and business tax returns from document collection through filing. Handle complex federal, state, multi-state, pass-through, rental, investment, and corporate returns using Intuit ProConnect Tax Online. Communicate proactively with clients, identify technical and documentation issues, maintain review-ready workpapers, manage deadlines, recognize tax-planning opportunities, and assist with mentoring tax staff.

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; prepare US GAAP financial statements; support budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and process improvement. Partner with clients and tax teams, provide financial insights to leadership, use accounting software and ERP systems, and mentor junior accounting staff in a remote environment.
