Teams at Vulcan

Generates sales and develops new business within a specified market, primarily serving construction-industry customers. Manages customer accounts, pricing, forecasts, receivables, technical support, sales presentations, and customer satisfaction. Builds relationships with contractors, government officials, and community stakeholders; coordinates customer needs with plant operations; researches market conditions; and develops competitive pricing and marketing strategies. Frequent travel, sales database usage, construction-industry knowledge, negotiation skills, and a valid driver's license are required.

Provides administrative and accounting support to a production plant manager. Handles purchase orders, payables, payroll timecards, deposits, fuel usage, cost tracking, reporting systems, month-end close activities, variance analysis, budgets, maintenance work orders, and employee coordination with HR and corporate departments. Also serves as the plant contact for visitors and calls and provides backup scale clerk support.

Leads sales functions across a defined geographic area, including market strategy, budgeting, P&L responsibility, team coaching, talent development, customer relationship management, and new business growth. Partners with operations and logistics on product availability and volume planning, supports pricing and marketing decisions, and represents the company with contractors, government agencies, and industry associations. Requires overnight travel and a valid driver's license.
