Teams at Voyant Photonics

Lead the development of custom mixed-signal ASICs from architecture through production silicon. Design low-noise TIAs, amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, and power-management circuits for photonic ICs; establish EDA tools and verification flows; collaborate with photonics, systems, FPGA, and digital teams; and hire and mentor an analog/digital IC design team.

Design and release precision mechanical hardware, housings, assemblies, tooling, fixtures, and alignment systems for LiDAR sensors. Create manufacturing-ready drawings using GD&T, perform tolerance analyses, manage engineering changes and BOMs, support optical assembly, collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineers, and iterate prototypes toward production.

Design and optimize passive and active silicon photonic components from simulation through layout, foundry tapeout, and characterization. Perform electromagnetic and multiphysics simulations, analyze wafer-level measurement data, develop manufacturable designs, and collaborate with layout engineers, system-level PIC designers, and foundry partners. The role focuses on improving optical performance, fabrication tolerance, bandwidth, crosstalk, insertion loss, and power consumption for LiDAR and optical switching applications.
