Leads mechanical design engineering for controllable solid propulsion systems, including rocket motors, igniters, pressure vessels, actuators, valves, and thrusters. Performs CAD modeling, GD&T, tolerance analysis, simulations, materials selection, and design optimization. Provides technical and programmatic direction while managing and developing approximately 10 engineers. Supports staffing, budgeting, performance reviews, recruitment, and engineering best practices. The role is hybrid or remote, requires U.S. clearance eligibility, and involves approximately 10% travel.

Design, integrate, test, and operate spacecraft and lunar lander propulsion systems. Responsibilities include sizing tanks, valves, instrumentation, engines, and pressurization systems; performing fluid-thermal trade studies; creating component specifications; supporting procurement, cleanroom assembly, component testing, and mission operations. The role also provides real-time mission support and requires collaboration with vendors and engineering teams.

Manages the full contract lifecycle across commercial and government-facing programs, including strategy, proposals, negotiation, execution, compliance, and closeout. Negotiates with customers, primes, partners, and suppliers; identifies contractual and financial risks; supports pricing and business development; and ensures compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, export controls, and audit requirements. Partners cross-functionally with program management, engineering, finance, supply chain, legal, and compliance teams. The role is onsite in Littleton, Colorado, with travel between multiple sites as needed.
