Lead business development and growth for Volkert’s Utah AEC market. Build relationships with UDOT, municipalities, and other clients; identify and prioritize opportunities; develop capture, teaming, and pursuit strategies; guide proposal and interview teams; monitor market intelligence; and secure consulting contracts for engineering and construction management services. The role requires extensive travel, overnight stays, client engagement, and industry representation.

Designs and delivers roadway and transportation engineering projects, including plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, and construction documents. Coordinates with subconsultants and project teams, applies FDOT standards and engineering practices, manages assigned budgets and schedules, and supports quality assurance and quality control. Requires civil engineering education, roadway design experience, FE certification, FDOT expertise, and proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

Manage flow of project documents between internal and external partners and contractors. Coordinate, review, and process contract and construction/design submittals, maintain accurate records, implement QC/QA procedures, write reports and correspondence, communicate with stakeholders, and perform audits to ensure contract compliance.
