Provides nursing care to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing acute or chronic health changes. Applies the nursing process under Clinical Manager direction, supports professional growth, and may assume Clinical Manager responsibilities. Requires an accredited nursing education, current RN licensure, and BLS CPR certification. Acute healthcare experience is preferred, with ACLS, PALS, arrhythmia, sedation, and TNCC training also preferred.

Provides and evaluates nursing care for observation-unit patients, develops and updates care plans, administers age-specific care, communicates with patients and families, maintains confidentiality, follows safety practices, supports performance improvement, and educates patients regarding their rights. Requires a current Tennessee or compact-state RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and graduation from an approved nursing program.
