Designs, programs, commissions, troubleshoots, and improves automated manufacturing systems using PLCs, HMIs, robotics, vision systems, servo motion, and industrial networks. Responsibilities include electrical controls design, capital project support, equipment integration, root-cause problem solving, technical documentation, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and IT. Higher-level engineers lead complex automation projects, mentor team members, and drive manufacturing performance improvements.

Supports Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints implementation in a high-volume manufacturing facility. Leads process improvement, kaizen, value stream mapping, time studies, statistical analysis, and new-process implementation. Trains and coaches leaders and team members, applies DMAIC and Lean tools, identifies waste, and recommends performance improvements. The role requires cross-functional collaboration, problem solving, communication, and comfort working in office and manufacturing environments with potential exposure to hazardous materials and equipment.

Supports the development, programming, testing, and integration of industrial automation and control systems.
