Virtua Health Benefits Overview

Provides dedicated overnight OB/GYN laborist coverage for patients at Virtua Health locations, managing labor and delivery care and related obstetric and gynecologic needs. The part-time on-site role requires 24 hours per week on third shift. Three years of laborist experience is preferred, with coverage supported by NICU, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, and other specialists.

Provides clinical leadership for PACU, same-day surgery, and pre-admission testing patients. Interprets clinical data, coordinates interdisciplinary care, directs discharge processes, addresses quality and safety issues, communicates practice changes, and implements evidence-based standards. Evaluates nursing competencies, oversees orientation and education, develops preceptors, coaches staff, and creates learning plans for the department.

Performs medical office front-desk and administrative duties, including answering phones, scheduling and registering patients, verifying demographics and insurance, entering billing information, collecting co-pays, processing referrals and pre-certifications, filing, and reconciling payments. May train and mentor other office assistants. Requires strong communication, customer service, multitasking, and computer skills.
