Teach and coordinate Mechanical Engineering units, develop project-based curricula, assess student learning, support accreditation, maintain professional currency, and build industry partnerships. The role focuses on learner-centered education, student success, scholarship of teaching and learning, curriculum improvement, and contemporary practice in areas including advanced manufacturing, automation, robotics, industrial systems, and production engineering.

Own and improve university-wide academic workload planning, including staffing availability, workload allocation, workforce utilisation reporting, data quality, process performance and continuous improvement. The role translates business requirements into scalable planning mechanisms, ensures alignment with policies and enterprise agreements, and partners with senior stakeholders across academic and professional services to support effective workforce planning and operational outcomes.
