The role supports Patrol, collaborates with police and external partners, builds community relationships, and contributes to crime prevention and safety initiatives. Work includes rotating shifts, covert or overt deployments, confidential intelligence handling, judicial authorizations, disclosure preparation, and investigative reporting.
Security
Conduct detailed, evidence-focused investigations into serious and complex crimes, including assaults, suspicious deaths, sexual assaults, kidnappings, vulnerable-person crimes, and fraud. Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects; manage offenders and risk assessments; gather and secure evidence; prepare judicial authorizations; provide court evidence; coordinate with partner agencies; and perform Major Case Management roles such as Affiant, Primary Investigator, and File Coordinator.
