Lead product design for Via’s Transit Operations platform, creating scalable experiences for complex, information-dense workflows used by transit dispatchers and operators. Partner with Product and Engineering to define direction, resolve ambiguity, validate decisions through research and data, and deliver polished solutions. Influence broader design quality through systems thinking, critique, shared patterns, and strong stakeholder communication. Explore emerging technologies, including AI, in product design workflows.

The Strategy & Operations Principal will manage an intermodal transit service, oversee daily operations, mentor a team, engage with partners, analyze data for better efficiencies, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Develop and maintain Via’s production algorithm codebase and mission-critical backend services. Improve existing algorithms and business logic, build new technical systems, and optimize performance for global transportation platforms. Collaborate closely with DevOps engineers, algorithm developers, and researchers while owning complex software and working with cloud infrastructure.
