Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a medical office. Greet and check in patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, maintain records and inventory, coordinate communication between patients and providers, assist with registrations and authorizations, and support front-desk operations to ensure efficient patient care.

Provide peer-based case management for patients with incarceration history: coordinate discharge, referrals, and follow-up; document in EHR; assist with appointments, transportation vouchers, immunizations, billing support, education, translation, and front-office/clerical duties while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Manage patient account billing: prepare and submit claims, post payments, prepare statements, follow up with insurers, handle collections and payment plans, resolve billing complaints, maintain HIPAA confidentiality, perform daily backups and prepare deposits.
