Teams at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)

Advance VFW legislative priorities for veterans benefits by researching and analyzing VA programs, drafting testimony and position papers, lobbying Congress and federal officials, coordinating member grassroots engagement, and representing VFW at public events to promote legislative goals.

Provide Pre-Discharge claims assistance and representation to separating active-duty service members. Prepare, develop, submit and review VA benefit claims and appeals; conduct presentations and briefings; obtain medical evidence; research military policies and regulations; coordinate with DoD/VA and VFW staff; maintain case records and weekly reports; mentor new reps and support training as required.
