Paid funeral director internship providing supervised training in funeral and memorial ceremonies, deceased care, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, casketing, family service, community engagement, safety, and regulatory compliance. Interns receive mentorship, structured development, and experience across funeral home settings while working toward state and national licensure. The role requires mortuary science education, strong communication and organization, compassion, conflict resolution skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media.

Manages front-office operations, bookkeeping, billing, reception, administrative documentation, supplies, facility upkeep, and staff coordination across three funeral home locations. Supports families and staff with compassion, confidentiality, and professionalism while helping maintain accurate financial records, organize events, oversee housekeeping, and build a positive workplace culture.

Assists licensed funeral directors with family arrangements, service coordination, facility and equipment readiness, and care of decedents. The apprentice receives mentorship while developing skills toward Wisconsin funeral director licensure and independent practice.
