Vertical Aerospace Benefits Overview

Develop and own flight control laws for an eVTOL aircraft from requirements capture through design, verification, flight testing, and certification. Use MATLAB, Simulink, and model-based engineering to deliver certified control systems. Coordinate across flight dynamics, systems, software, simulation, testing, certification, and flight-test teams while applying aircraft development and certification expertise to resolve complex engineering challenges.

Performs stress analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structures for design development and certification. Develops first-principles analysis methods, automation, and numerical models; supports structural testing, material qualification, dynamic and transient analysis, and certification evidence. Collaborates with design, loads, test, certification, and materials teams to resolve structural challenges and prepares substantiation and verification reports for technical review.

Support end-to-end aerospace airframe program delivery across aerostructures, cabin interiors, EWIS, system installation, and landing gear workstreams. Build integrated schedules, coordinate suppliers, track deliverables, manage risks, monitor cost, schedule and quality, maintain dashboards, and support change control. The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams and readiness to work primarily in Bristol with occasional international travel.
