Supports internal control testing, exception assessment, data analysis, risk reporting, quantitative analysis, audit projects, process documentation, and process improvement. The intern will use analytical and visualization tools to evaluate market risks, summarize findings, build reports, present memorandums, and develop an understanding of enterprise controls, financial services, and insurance operations.

Supports investment, derivative, risk, and vendor operations for variable annuity portfolios. Responsibilities include investment and market data analysis, database maintenance, data integrity, reporting, quantitative analysis, process documentation, presentations, and collaboration with internal teams and external providers. The intern will also develop knowledge of variable annuities, their risk drivers, and supporting assets and derivatives while gaining exposure to actuarial and financial risk functions.

Summer 2027 actuarial interns will analyze variable annuity risks, market data, investment data, and risk metrics. Responsibilities include database maintenance, data integrity, business analysis, trend analysis, Excel modeling and VBA automation, process improvement, and presenting findings to teams and senior management. Candidates should demonstrate mathematical aptitude, technical skills, communication, initiative, and attention to detail. Preferred backgrounds include actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, finance, and economics.
