Supervises mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations in a high-mix manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include assigning labor, coordinating production schedules, monitoring quality and workflow, managing safety and personnel issues, leading continuous improvement, supporting NPI builds, maintaining metrics, and developing staff. The role requires cross-functional and customer interaction, enforcement of manufacturing procedures, and flexibility for overtime or changing production demands.

Leads quality operations for a medical-device manufacturing site, overseeing Quality Engineering, Quality Control, QMS compliance, audits, MRB, supplier quality, customer issues, quality metrics, and continuous improvement. Serves as the ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 management representative, drives process validation and audit readiness, manages quality systems documentation, and develops the quality team. The role requires extensive regulated manufacturing experience, strong quality engineering expertise, and knowledge of metal fabrication and metrology.

Supports manufacturing engineers and operations through time studies, process improvement, facility layout updates, work instruction and manufacturing document revisions, non-conformance investigations, shop-floor problem solving, and data entry. The intern works under regular supervision and contributes recommendations for minor process improvements. The role requires pursuing a mechanical or manufacturing engineering degree and familiarity with CAD, SolidWorks, metal fabrication, and Microsoft Office.
