Provides indigent defense and legal services, preparing and presenting legal strategies and arguments, advising clients, and representing them in court. Ensures effective legal communication and conducts investigations.

Maintain custody, care, and security of inmates in Van Buren County Jail. Perform booking, fingerprinting, inmate screening, counts, escorts, inspections, searches, report writing, contraband control, distribute supplies/medication, and enforce rules. Must pass physical and written tests, background screening, and follow policies and emergency procedures.
