Own the full enterprise sales cycle for Vals Smith, including outbound prospecting, discovery, technical evaluations, negotiations, closing, and expansion. Build the go-to-market playbook, define the ideal customer profile, develop qualification and outbound processes, and optimize packaging and objection handling. Partner with founders, product, and engineering teams on evaluations and POCs while translating complex AI technology into business value for enterprise decision-makers.

Own the Vals Smith product roadmap, conduct enterprise customer discovery, ship onboarding and evaluation improvements, support technical sales engagements, build activation and recurring-use funnels, and guide pricing, packaging, instrumentation, and usage analysis. The role requires hands-on prototyping and coding, customer-facing technical leadership, and in-person collaboration in San Francisco.

Evaluate and benchmark new LLM releases across legal, tax, coding, finance and other tasks. Analyze failure modes, maintain model integrations and benchmarking infrastructure, collaborate with research and communications teams, and publish leaderboard results used by startups, enterprises, and research labs.

Lead and set research direction for LLM evaluation methodologies and benchmarks, oversee research portfolio, publish influential work, recruit and grow a research team, and collaborate with enterprise customers and lab partners to build robust, deployment-focused evaluation paradigms.
