Coordinates patient care transitions from acute to ambulatory settings, including follow-up scheduling, discharge planning, patient education, community-resource referrals, and pre- and post-operative outreach. Collaborates with physicians, case managers, nurses, therapy, anesthesia, and other teams to support orthopedic care pathways, ERAS protocols, quality outcomes, readmission prevention, and continuity of care.

Provides patient care under licensed nurse supervision, including assisting patients, documenting care, cleaning and stocking equipment, infection control, phlebotomy, safety attendant duties, and clerical tasks. Requires adherence to healthcare policies, sterile techniques, and safety procedures. This part-time night-shift role involves substantial standing, walking, lifting, and potential travel between facilities.

Manages laboratory operations, staffing, budgets, supplies, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, safety, competency programs, and accreditation readiness. Leads laboratory teams, monitors testing accuracy and performance indicators, maintains personnel and policy records, supports patient experience, and collaborates with medical leadership. Requires oversight of CAP inspections, CLIA compliance, continuing education, and corrective actions.
