Provides advanced pre-surgical assessment and coordination of surgical readiness via phone, televisit, or in person. Reviews medical and medication history, identifies anesthesia or surgical risks, coordinates required testing and clearances, educates patients/families, documents in the EHR, and serves as a clinical resource and charge nurse as needed to promote safe, timely, patient-centered surgical preparation.

Leads school-wide strategic initiatives and regional public health partnerships to advance the Katie Marmion School of Public Health and CRHeST. Translates strategy into work plans, builds infrastructure for new centers and programs, coordinates cross-functional teams and external partners, aligns resources, monitors outcomes, and supports proposal and operational readiness. Facilitates stakeholder communication and regional expansion across South Texas with expected travel.

Lead and coordinate major gift fundraising across multiple health-related schools. Manage a prospect portfolio, cultivate and solicit high-capacity donors, prepare proposals with faculty and leadership, steward donors, use CRM for tracking, and plan short- and long-term fundraising programs to drive private support.
