Provides individualized, disease-specific nutrition counseling and treatment plans for patients in a clinical setting. Assesses health status, dietary restrictions, and progress; educates patients through individual consultations, group workshops, and motivational coaching. Collaborates with physicians and nurses, documents care according to HIPAA requirements, supports quality improvement, and stays current with clinical nutrition research and guidelines.

Coordinates clinical research studies under physician supervision, including recruiting and consenting subjects, scheduling study procedures, conducting assessments, monitoring adverse events, processing specimens, maintaining medical and study records, completing case report forms, managing databases, supporting regulatory submissions, and assisting with research publications. Provides subject education and support, trains staff, maintains research supplies, and communicates with investigators, medical personnel, and pharmaceutical company representatives.

Reviews overpayment worklists and credit balances, researches claims and account transactions to identify valid insurance refunds, and submits completed refund requests to Finance. The role requires accurate payment and adjustment posting, knowledge of EOBs, ICD and CPT codes, medical billing systems, EMR systems, and applicable regulations. It also involves adapting to changing priorities, maintaining professional customer service, and performing related duties.
