Entry-level research specialist to support the Dowling Lab on childhood muscle disease projects. Duties include mouse colony maintenance and husbandry, performing behavioral assays, dosing, dissections, tissue processing and histology, and basic molecular biology tasks. Maintain lab organization, careful record-keeping for animal management, and learn new techniques under supervision.

Provide administrative and programmatic support to the Brain Tumor Center leadership. Serve as liaison between research coordinators and clinical staff, manage equipment and core facilities, coordinate seminars, meetings, recruitment visits, travel, and assist with grant preparations, reporting, and special projects.

Lead and conduct plant molecular ecology research combining fieldwork, herbarium and laboratory resources; develop projects, apply bioinformatics and applied statistics, publish and present results, pursue independent funding, teach and mentor students, provide departmental bioinformatics support, and engage in outreach and collaborations.
