Conduct research in statistical machine learning, robot learning, and whole-body multi-contact robotic manipulation. Develop model-based and machine-learning methods, including trajectory optimization, MPPI, reinforcement learning, and diffusion policies. Work with KUKA and Kawada robot hardware, sensing, force feedback, simulation environments, and shared-autonomy teleoperation. Collaborate with project partners in Japan, support student research, deploy systems in the field, and report research progress and results.

Provide lifeguard support as a Sports Assistant at the University of Edinburgh’s sports facility, helping create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for students, staff, and community members. The role requires competent swimming ability and an existing or obtainable National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification. This is a part-time, nine-month fixed-term position with three vacancies.

Leads business-as-usual operational delivery for the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Manages college-wide planning, governance, emergency and resilience planning, risk management, data protection, information governance, and operational coordination across campuses. Uses data and management information to support college planning and review processes during a period of significant organizational change.
