Leads the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the Polsky Exchange by advising small businesses, managing advisors and personnel, overseeing budgets and operations, coordinating programs, cultivating community and partner relationships, ensuring grant compliance, tracking outcomes, maintaining CRM records, producing reports, and developing marketing and funding resources.

Directs all operations of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the Polsky Exchange. Responsibilities include advising small businesses, managing advisors and center personnel, coordinating educational programs, tracking grant metrics, maintaining CRM records, managing budgets, ensuring state and federal compliance, developing reports, cultivating community partnerships, and promoting SBDC services. The role also oversees accreditation activities, board relationships, funding resources, marketing, and operational processes.

Manages billing, collections, reconciliations, cash application, and financial reporting for federally and privately sponsored university projects. Reviews sponsor payment terms and regulations, identifies billing issues, analyzes reports, corrects data errors, and coordinates with university departments, faculty, sponsors, Treasury, and Bursar’s Office. The role requires accounting knowledge, proficiency with financial and research administration systems, advanced Excel and Business Objects skills, strong communication, and independent judgment.
