Teams at Universal Quantum

Design, assemble, align, test, troubleshoot, and characterize optical and laser subsystems for trapped-ion quantum computers. Integrate fibre-optic and opto-mechanical assemblies, develop optical test methods, analyze performance data, improve alignment stability and subsystem robustness, and support laser alignment, beam delivery, electro-optical controls, and diagnostics. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams while documenting requirements, test results, and root-cause analyses.

Design RF PCBs and architectures for custom quantum-computing RF delivery systems, including cables and transmission lines. Define component specifications, lead RF verification and validation testing, develop test plans, and document results. Collaborate with electronics, ASIC, mechanical, software, and physics teams on innovative solutions, proof-of-concept development, project planning, risk management, and scheduling.

Design, develop, verify, and document HDL-based digital logic and electronics for quantum-computer control systems. The role involves FPGA and embedded real-time systems, PCB design, circuit testing, debugging with laboratory equipment, supplier collaboration, project planning, and multidisciplinary work with mechanical, software, and physics teams.
