Teams at Universal Quantum

Designs and builds electrical and mechanical test rigs for quantum microfabricated devices. Develops test plans, conducts electronics characterization and experimental validation, evaluates testing methodologies, collaborates with chip and electronics designers, and documents procedures and results. The role requires electronics engineering, PCB and schematic design, high-frequency signal measurement, embedded systems, FPGA-based automation, and strong technical documentation skills.

Integrate cryogenic and extreme-high-vacuum hardware for trapped-ion quantum computing systems. Responsibilities include assembly planning, precision mechanical integration, component inspection, leak checking, bakeouts, thermal cycling, functional testing, cleanroom protocol development, documentation, and root-cause resolution of assembly anomalies. The role collaborates with physicists, mechanical engineers, and electronics engineers, and may provide short-term support to overseas teams.

Design, develop, and maintain software components, SDKs, libraries, and user interfaces for quantum algorithm development tools. Own components of the algorithm development pipeline, collaborate with quantum algorithm teams, and deliver reliable, documented software. Support testing, validation, and deployment of models and simulations to HPC and cloud environments while evaluating trade-offs across quantum algorithms, compilation, and hardware processes.
