Leads UKAEA’s internal and external events strategy and end-to-end delivery across national and international activities. Manages the events team, budgets, external suppliers, branding, registration through Indico, promotion, feedback, performance evaluation, and strategic partnerships. The role requires coordinating multiple events and deadlines while maintaining professional standards and regular onsite presence at Culham.

Leads procurement, negotiation, execution, and lifecycle management of complex, high-value engineering and service contracts for the STEP fusion programme. Oversees commercial teams, contract performance, risk mitigation, supplier relationships, compliance, dispute resolution, and continuous improvement. Collaborates with legal, technical, sourcing, and industry partners while developing strategic commercial frameworks and mentoring team members.

Supervise electrical work and multidisciplinary teams supporting safe operation, maintenance, installation, commissioning, and enhancement of site power and low-voltage control systems. Own electrical work packages, prepare engineering and safety documentation, review supplier deliverables, perform technical analysis and fault finding, ensure compliance with standards, and mentor apprentice electricians.
