Develops and leads strategic communications, media, messaging, and campaign plans for UFCW. Creates written and visual content, supports crisis communications, coordinates rallies and press events, trains union leaders and members, evaluates communications technologies, and provides event and executive communications support. The role requires strong writing, media relations, public speaking, campaign execution, stakeholder coordination, visual communications, and frequent travel throughout the United States and Canada.

Process U.S. biweekly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls; prepare payroll entries, tax filings, reports, and reconciliations; maintain payroll records; support multi-state U.S. and Canadian compliance; handle salary verifications, workers’ compensation returns, payroll accounts, and special projects. Provide backup for Canadian payroll processes while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Provides confidential administrative and secretarial support to department directors and professional staff. Duties include calendar and travel management, correspondence, mail, filing, meeting coordination, expense processing, attendance tracking, inventory assistance, and Concur expense-system administration. The role also supports Concur users and audits expense reports, coordinates approvals, manages communications and teleconferences, and assists organizational departments as needed. Requires independent judgment, strong organization, confidentiality, and effective communication in an on-site office environment.
