Handles payer enrollment, provider credentialing, recredentialing, revalidation, and enrollment data maintenance. Communicates with payers and providers, monitors enrollment-related denials and claim holds, processes insurance and patient payments, verifies eligibility, and maintains patient and provider records. The role may also lead billing staff, support coding research, reconcile errors, train team members, and help improve billing efficiency and revenue.

Supports monthly and annual financial statements, budgeting, grant tracking, HRSA reporting and invoicing, audit leadership, account reconciliations, and balance categorization. Partners with the Controller and organizational leaders on strategic initiatives while using critical thinking and AI to improve finance operations.

Coordinates patient referrals for specialty care and diagnostic testing, including prior authorizations, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, documentation, and referral tracking. Communicates with patients, providers, specialists, and insurers; maintains current payer and specialist information; prioritizes referrals by urgency; follows up to close referral loops; and helps patients overcome barriers to accessing care.
