Leads UMC’s manufacturing technology strategy, including capital equipment planning, facility expansion, maintenance, automation, applications engineering, and CNC technology standards. Manages managers and team leads across multiple functions, owns equipment risk and replacement planning, oversees machine installations, and aligns technology roadmaps with business growth. Requires strong manufacturing engineering expertise, people leadership, capital planning, project management, ERP experience, and knowledge of applicable quality, regulatory, and trade compliance standards.

Develop and optimize cost-effective manufacturing processes for complex machined parts and assemblies. Review customer specifications, prints, models, and regulatory requirements; create machining plans involving tooling, fixtures, tool paths, cutting parameters, and models. Collaborate with engineering, quality, CNC programming, supply chain, scheduling, and production teams on quoting and process improvements. Analyze manufacturing change requests and support customer and supplier process development.

Coordinates production schedules for saw, deburring, and outside service operations; monitors rework and sorting; maintains planning spreadsheets, dashboards, and supply chain reports; coordinates prepacking and production updates; and provides backup support for purchasing, job cleanup, forecasting, and other supply chain functions.
