Leads capital engineering projects at a food manufacturing plant, managing scope, estimates, schedules, budgets, vendors, contractors, risk, procurement, commissioning, startup, and operator handoff. The role requires on-site coordination, troubleshooting, and collaboration across engineering, operations, and external teams while ensuring quality, safety, and timely project delivery.

Prepares and weighs ingredients for production batches, stages materials, verifies ingredients, and maintains pre-scale areas. The role supports changeovers, reworks product, monitors food safety and quality, follows GMP, SQF, SOP, and HACCP requirements, coordinates with QA, cleans production areas, and reports waste or equipment issues. Requires basic math, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, extended standing and walking, and availability for overtime and weekends.

Supports and advances plant automation, controls, and electrical systems in a manufacturing facility. Owns PLC, HMI, VFD, and SCADA systems; troubleshoots production issues; develops programs; integrates new equipment; supports commissioning, capital projects, and OEM collaboration. Maintains controls documentation, networks, backups, and safety compliance; drives automation improvements and root-cause corrections; and trains maintenance technicians through hands-on floor support.
