Own propulsion, actuation, and thermal subsystems for UAV platforms from trade studies through production. Responsibilities include sizing motors, propellers, ESCs, servos, and actuators; developing performance models; integrating flight-control interfaces; conducting thermal, vibration, and environmental tests; analyzing flight data; managing subsystem requirements and supplier relationships; and supporting qualification, manufacturing transfer, acceptance testing, and supplier approval.

Partner with Engineering leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, talent development, team effectiveness, and employee relations. Coach leaders through feedback, probation, conflict, and performance conversations; support onboarding, career paths, reorganizations, and culture initiatives. Manage performance cycles in Leapsome, provide engineering workforce insights, and help design scalable HR processes. The role requires strong advisory skills, experience in fast-growing technical organizations, and business-fluent German and English.

Leads the organization’s flight testing strategy, teams, campaigns, and operations. Oversees test planning, readiness reviews, risk management, execution, reporting, post-flight analysis, certification evidence, and regulatory collaboration. Partners with engineering, safety, operations, and external authorities to validate aircraft performance, airworthiness, and compliance. Builds team capabilities, defines goals and budgets, and drives continuous improvement across flight test activities for autonomous defense aircraft.
